The last orders are going out, the last market is done and I am about to have a rest! A huge thank you to all my customers this year. Wishing you all a very merry Christmas. See you all for more beautiful flowers in 2014.
The cutting garden looks bare at the minute but already signs of growth are there if you look closely.....so here's to next spring and next year, but for now let's put our feet up!
Happy Christmas to you all,
I have been so busy making things....mostly wreaths, I am a bit late updating the blog....sorry. I have just a few wreaths left, if you want one please let me know soon!
The weather definately has a chill now. Any chance of a white Christmas?
Yesterday I decorated the White Hart at Otley. Big swags of green over the bar and fire place, two x 2.5 feet wreaths on the porches, door wreath and Mistletoe. When I left they were putting up the tree, so festive.
It is a really nice country pub and Lynda makes great food. Lusus are playing a Christmas gig there on Sunday 15th December in the afternoon. www.lusus.org.uk . So you can soak up the atmosphere and see my decorations as well!
Large wreaths made from cutting garden foliage.
Red sky in the morning, shepard's warning! What terrible weather. So sorry to miss you all at Loddon.
Lovely Mum and Dad have been helping me today. Dad has been making up bunches of Mistletoe, cutting Holly and potting up Violas. Lucky me, Mum has been doing my laundry. I will be able to do some housework after Christmas!!
My story in flowers started as a child growing a tiny patch of London Pride Saxifraga...also known as Whimsey or Look Up and Kiss Me! Fast forward to 8 years ago when I started a City and Guilds training in floristry. I qualified as a florist and then to deepen my growing knowledge and skills I trained in horticulture as well. I trained under a WRAGS scheme at Darsham Nurseries and at Somerleyton Hall. Developing a passion for both growing and designing/arranging British garden flowers, I planted a cutting garden. Having become increasingly concerned about where and how flowers are grown, coupled with a love of British grown flowers. and natural styling, I now specialise in growing and using beautiful British grown flowers to make romantic natural designs. for weddings, events, gifts and much more.
